List of attributes for live queries
From the live flow metric editor, you can select and enter different attributes for a live query.
Attributes change:

What Nervecentre searches
For example, if you select 'Current ED/Inpatients' from Constrain to, Nervecentre checks if any current inpatients meet the criteria.

How Nervecentre displays the results
For example, if you select 'Date of Admission' from Sort by, Nervecentre orders the results by their admission date.
The available attributes and their options are listed below.

Select a type. The type changes the criteria available and options available for each attribute.
Visit |
Select this to view criteria for patients in a current visit. |
Preadmit |
Select this to view criteria for patients with preadmission. |
Waiting list |
Select this to view criteria associated with waiting lists. |
Theatre Procedure |
Select this to view criteria associated with theatre procedures. |
Appointment |
Select this to view criteria associated with appointments. |
Encounter |
Select this to view criteria associated with active encounter types. |
Referral |
Select this to view criteria associated with referrals. |
Caseload |
Select this to view criteria associated with caseloads. |
Advice & Guidance |
Select this to view criteria associated with advice and guidance. |
Investigations |
Select this to view criteria associated with investigations across inpatients and outpatients. |

Select an option from Constrain to to change the patients Nervecentre checks meet the criteria.
For example, if you select 'Current ED/Inpatients', Nervecentre checks if any current inpatients meet the criteria.
Current ED/Inpatients |
Available if the type is Visit or Preadmit. Patients with a current ED visit or inpatient visit. |
Visited in Last 7 Days |
Available if the type is Visit or Preadmit. Patients who have been in the hospital within the last 7 days. Not current patients. |

Available if the type is Visit or Preadmit. Patients with a booked appointment within next 7 days. |
Open Intervention |
Available if the type is Visit or Preadmit. Patients with open interventions. |
Preadmit +/- 7 Days |
Available if the type is Visit or Preadmit. Patients who have a preadmission in the next 7 days and patients who had a preadmission in the last 7 days that has not been used. |
Visited in Last 2 Days |
Available if the type is Visit or Preadmit. Patients who have been in the hospital within the last 2 days. Not current patients. |
Future Procedure |
Available if the type is Theatre Procedure. Patients with planned procedures that have not happened yet. |
Active Referral |
Available if the type is Encounter or Referral. Patients who have been referred and they have not been discharged or referred elsewhere. The patient is also not deceased. |
On Caseload |
Available if the type is Caseload. Patients on a caseload. |

Select an option from Count to change what the query returns.
For example, you select the criterion 'Ward/Area' and enter 'Ward 12'. If you select:

'Patients' from Count
The live query returns a list of patients in Ward 12'

'Previous visits' from Count
The live query returns a list of previous visits to 'Ward 12'. A patient might have visited 'Ward 12' multiple times.
Patients |
Available if the type is Visit Returns a list of patients. |
Entries |
Available if the type is Returns a list of entries. There can be multiple entries per patient. |
Previous visits |
Available if the type is Visit or Preadmit. Returns a list of previous visits. There can be multiple previous visits per patient. |

A live query returns a list of results. Select an option from Sort by to choose the default sort order for the list of results.
Users can view the list in a different order by selecting a column header. When sorting alphabetically, ascending means A>Z with numbers first and descending means Z>A with numbers coming last.
Date of Admission |
Available if the type is Visit or Preadmit. Sorts the patients by their date of admission. |
Wait duration |
Available if the type is Waiting list. Sorts the patients by the length of time they have been on the waiting list. |
Breach date |
Available if the type is Waiting list, Theatre Procedure, Appointment, Sorts entries by their breach date. The breach date is the date a process should be completed by. For example, if a patient is referred, the patient should be seen before the breach date. |
Date Added |
Available if the type is Theatre Procedure or Encounter. Sorts procedures and encounters by the date they were added to the patient's record. |
Date of Procedure |
Available if the type is Theatre Procedure Sorts entries by the date of the procedure. |
Appointment Date |
Available if the type is Appointment. Sorts appointments by the date of the appointment. |
Time Sent to Pharmacy |
Available if the type is Encounter. Some encounters are discharge summaries containing TTOs. Users send the discharge summaries to the pharmacy so the pharmacists can dispense the TTOs. Time Sent to Pharmacy sorts encounters by the time they were sent to the pharmacy. |
Date of Referral |
Available if the type is Referral. Sorts referrals by the date of the referral. |
Created |
Available if the type is Sorts entries by the date they were created. For example, for an investigation, this is the date the order was placed. |
Collected |
Available if the type is Investigations. Sorts investigations by the date the sample was collected. |
Results |
Available if the type is Investigations. Sorts investigations by the date the results came back. |

Enter a name in Group Name. When users view flow metrics from Live Flow on a mobile, flow metrics with that group name appear in that group.
For example, you have the group 'Critical ICU' that contains the live queries 'ICU Level 1', 'ICU Level 2', and 'ICU Level 3'. When users view these live queries on a mobile, the live queries are listed under the group 'Critical ICU'.

Enter a number in Amber. The live query must return this number or greater for the colour to change to amber. Users see the live query as amber wherever the live query is shown.
For example, you enter the number 10. A user adds this live query to their home dashboard. When the live query returns the number 10 or greater, the background behind the number changes to amber.

Enter a number in Red. The live query must return this number or greater for the colour to change to red. Users see the live query as red wherever the live query is shown.
For example, you enter the number 25. A user adds this live query to their home dashboard. When the live query returns the number 25 or greater, the background behind the number changes to red.

Enter a number in Max. This is the maximum number that displays to users. If this is blank, there is no maximum number.
For example, you enter the number 20. A user adds the live query to their home dashboard. The live query returns 25 results, but the user sees 20 on their home dashboard.

Select Track duration to allow users to:

View the live query from Live Flow > Waiting Times

Add the live query to a live flow as a waiting time
You can build and edit live flows from Live Flow > Live Patient Flow. You can add 'Waiting times' to live flows. When you add a 'Waiting time', you can choose live queries with track duration enabled.
